Column Distillation System Design & Simulation
We successfully executed the design, fabrication, and supply of SS316L distillation columns
for the separation of Methanol, Water, and Dimethoxymethane. The project encompassed
both single and multiple-column setups, incorporating high-efficiency internals with a
combination of structured and random packings to achieve optimal separation performance.
The first column, designed for MeOH + H₂O + DMM applications, features a three-section
rectification section and a two-section stripping section, with a total height of 21.3 meters,
engineered to meet stringent process requirements.
Additionally, two columns were supplied for MeOH + H₂O separation, each featuring a threesection rectification section and a single-section stripping section, with a total height of 18.5
meters.
