S-Cube Laboratory Packing

Standard structured packings are hardly suitable for use in laboratory columns of less than 50 mm diameter. SCM- laboratory packings are especially designed for this purpose.
Special Features
- Type SCM-LAB-EM:
- Highest possible number of theoretical stages, even with very low liquid loadings
- Same pressure drop per theoretical stage as SCM WM-5.0M gauze packing
- Small hold‑up
Preferred applications:
- Laboratory columns from 25 to 150 mm
- Vacuum from 1 mbar
- Where a high number of theoretical stages is required
- Distillation of components prone to decomposition

FAQs
We offer two main types: SCM-LAB-EM (highest possible number of theoretical stages, even with very low liquid loadings) and SCM-LAB-DM (designed for laboratory applications requiring efficient separation).
Laboratory Packing features include: highest possible number of theoretical stages even with very low liquid loadings, same pressure drop per theoretical stage as SCM WM-5.0M gauze packing, and small hold-up.
Laboratory Packing is ideal for small laboratory columns, pilot plant applications, research and development projects, and applications requiring high separation efficiency in compact spaces.
